CALL FOR PAPERS

The Australian Council for Educational Leaders (ACEL), annual flagship national conference will be held in Brisbane from 27-29 September 2023 and is proudly presented in partnership with the Queensland Department of Education.

This year ACEL celebrates a significant milestone – it’s our 50th anniversary and we are thrilled to take this wonderful opportunity to pause and reflect on where we have come from, consider what has been achieved, and, with excitement and curiosity, contemplate where we are heading over the next fifty years.

To acknowledge this milestone, our theme this year is Celebrating 50 years: Learning from the past, leading for the future.

ACEL is pleased to open its call for papers for the 2023 ACEL national conference. We are committed to delivering an exceptional experience that promises to be intellectually stimulating, immersive, and thought-provoking.

We're excited to explore a range of sub-themes that not only honour the achievements of the past and present but also pave the way for a strong future:

How might we lead and sustain our profession to ensure a strong future?

As leaders of the profession, how might we respond to global challenges and create opportunities?

How might we lead for inclusive learning experiences and equitable achievements?

How might we imagine possibilities to invent dynamic futures where learners, teachers and leaders thrive?

We invite interested individuals, pairs, or small groups, to submit an abstract to present a concurrent session at the ACEL National Conference 2023.

Submissions close at 5.00pm Monday 10 July 2023
